Indus Healthcare made a humble beginning from a 100-bedded charitable
Hospital and nursing home in the border state of Punjab in North India.
This effort was rewarded with a great response from the general public in
the border belt with meager healthcare facilities and the local
administration alike. This kind of appreciation of the modest effort and
because of the pressing demand from public another facility was started in
the form of a new hospital in the upcoming city of Mohali in 2001. Indus
Multi- Specialty Hospital, a 40-bedded facility soon gained the reputation
for its quality healthcare driven by ethics and at an affordable cost.
High demand for Specialty and Super Specialty branches of Medicine like
Cancer, Cardiac disease, Kidney ailments etc coupled with lack of quality
treatment in the region fuelled the efforts in the direction of a
80-bedded Super Specialty Hospital. This tireless labour bore fruit in the
form of 80- bedded state-of-the-art dedicated Super Specialty Centre
(Cancer, Cardiac, Neuro Sciences, Nephrology, Cosmetic Surg etc) in the
heart of the city of Mohali(North India) in 2008. Today, Indus Super
Specialty Hospital can boast of being only private hospital in the region
with having Dual Energy Linear Accelerator with electrons(Radiation
Oncology), Cardiac Suite with a 100kw Cath Lab, Cardiac and Neuro OT,
Renal Lab with Dialysis, Neurology Lab etc all available under one roof.
Post Graduate Doctor Training Hospital(Recgd by Govt of India) :
Due to our consistent Quality and Academic approach we are the only
Tertiary Care hospital in Tri-City of Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula who are
recognized by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India
as a Post Graduate Doctors Training Hospital in Family Medicine and
Anesthesia. Our Academic Committee Runs the DNB Programme in Anesthesia
and Family Medicine.
In addition, we own and operate a very popular chain of Diagnostic Centers
by name of Scan-Lab with all major equipments and efficient services.

Management Team:
Dr Navtej Singh, MBBS; DMRD : Specialist Radiologist by
Qualification, is the Director of all Medical Affairs at Indus. He 3is
instrumental in bringing many innovative ideas into the medical
functioning for the institutions under Indus Healthcare. A qualified MBBS
degree holder from Mumbai University and a D.M.R.D (Diploma in Medical
Radiodiagnosis) from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences of the HNB
Garhwal University, Uttaranchal, Dr Navtej feels the pulse of the medical
care required with great expertise. His wide vision and strategic planning
keeps the medical care in the hospital updated and in sync with the latest
medical service standards and latest technology. His humble and respectful
attitude enables him to carry his team along in a very cohesive and
positive manner.
Dr Ramandeep Singh, BDS (BVP) : Eminent Dentist ,Director and Chief
Financial Officer Officer is a dynamic young doctor with a futuristic
vision few of his contemporaries can boast of. He did his BDS in 2001 from
Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Pune and followed by management training. His
positive and mild demeanor belies his strong willed and mature outlook.
Known for his hard-work and relentless pursuit for excellence, Dr
Ramandeep
Singh was recently nominated as one of the 50 Pathfinders in Healthcare by
the famous Express Healthcare Magazine. He was also the youngest at 31
Years of age and the only one from North India on that list. He is a
modest person, but his dreams for the future of Indus Hospitals are
anything but modest.
Dr Urvishi Makan Singh MBBS : A Qualified Medical Doctor from
Mumbai she envisioned Indus Africa. She thrives in the international
working environment due to her holding a Dual Citizenship of South Africa
and India(Over Citizen of India). Her commitment is to bring accessible
Specialist Healthcare Services and employable Skills training to Africans.
She has offices in Indus Healthcare Headquaters in India and in Indus
Africa Office in Newcastle, 98, Harding Street, Kwazulu Natal, South
Africa.
Mr Tarunesh Chetty BCom, MBA : Currently based in Pretoria, South
Africa he is the Proposed Chief Executive Officer(Admin) of Indus Africa
Operations in Botswana. He is a Business Consultant specializing in ,
Steel Rebates, BBBEE(Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) etc. His
clients include Cadburys (South Africa), X-Risk Consultants(Sandton).He is
associated with Health charitable projects in Africa as part of the Satya
Sai Organization of South Africa and is looking forward to bringing
Accessible Specialty health and Skills Services to Africa THROUGH
Botswana. He manages the Indus Africa office in Pretoria and his Business
Information as presented alongwith. Presently the Activities of Indus

Dr Sant Parkash Singh, Chairman : Indus Hospitals is an eminent
surgeon with nearly 45 years of experience in medical healthcare. He did
his MBBS from the prestigious Government Medical College, Amritsar in 1965
and his MS from the world renowned Postgraduate Institute of Medical
Education and Research (PGI), Chandigarh in 1969. He has served in the
Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMS) for nearly 30 years and has been
posted as Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in
various towns of Punjab. He started the famous Jiwan Nursing Home,
Jalalabad, that provided much needed healthcare facilities to the region.
As Chairman of the Indus Hospitals, Dr SP Singh has galvanized the
available resources to attain the maximum benefit for his patients and
staff alike. His single-minded aim is to take this venture to greater
heights and make it an epitome of healthcare par excellence within the
financial reach of the common man.
Dr Kavita Sant : With 40 years of experience behind her, Dr Kavita
Sant, Managing Director, Indus Hospitals is the gentle yet strong force
behind Indus. She did her MBBS from Government Medical College, Rohtak in
1969. She has had a vast and checkered work experience – from working at
Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi to working as a Senior Medical Officer in
the Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMS). After her 25 years of service in
the PCMS, she worked relentlessly and earned a great name for herself and
her home venture, Jiwan Nursing Home, Jalalabad. The faith her patients
have in her can be seen from the fact that most of them still come to her
at Mohali - all the way from Jalalabad. Her dedication towards her work
and patients is obvious from her working style within Indus Hospitals.
Ms Neelu Ahluwalia : A dynamic and elegant personality, whose HR
experience with IBM and Fidelity and plays an integral role in the HR of
the hospital. Her vital contribution in the Quality Assurance Dept.
enables the hospital to introspect and rectify constantly thereby ensuring
quality service to the patients. She trains our personnel on the finer
nuances of the service industry hence contributing immensely in the
overall environment of the hospital.|
Ms Pritika Gulati : Group PRO and Chief Editor of INDUS HOSPITALS
Medical Newsletter, Indus Alive, she manages the entire Media and Public
Relations of the hospital and is responsible for improving the image of
the hospital. A media person with great foresight, ability and
adaptability to function under any conditions, her excellent
inter-personal skills is of great value to our hospital. Also plays a
pivotal role in ensuring Quality Assurance and co-ordination within all
the departments of the hospital.
Dr SPS Bedi : The team leader of the hospital Anaesthesia Team, his
medical experience is a great asset to the hospital in all spheres
especially in Infection Control, Emergency and Critical Care. An intellect
with a very calm attitude, his constant guidance contributes immensely
towards a better efficiency in the medical field of the hospital. His
efficient and thorough professionalism extends to not just his speciality
but to the entire medical functioning of the hospital.
Dr Vikas Goyal : An extremely popular and renowned Onco-surgeon, he
is the medical face of the hospital. A quiet, diligent, dedicated and very
caring doctor, he is a vision of relief to the suffering patients. His
vast experience and expertise is tapped to the utmost in the entire
hospital functioning in an effort to better the services provided by the
