Indus Super Speciality Hospitals Radiology & Imaging Services are
fondly known as SCAN LAB is a highly specialized full-service
department which strives to meet all patient needs in diagnostic
imaging and image-guided therapies in close proximity with the
hospitals of the region
Indus Hospitals operates since 2005 a this sub-company (SCAN LAB) for
providing Radiology & Imaging Services. That time it was the only
Spiral CT Scan facility in Mohali.
It has a unit at Indus Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali established at
the time of hospital establishment. A 2nd Unit at Indus Hospital
,Phase 3B2, Mohali.
In keeping with the policy of providing the entire gamut of medical
services less than one roof, a full-fl When inaugurated, it was the
first independent Diagnostic Centre in Mohali. The Centre has a team
of 4 dedicated Specialist Radiologists.
Dr. Upendra Singh MD , Over 35 years of Experience in Radiology &
Imaging.
Dr. (Col) D.S Grewal MD, Over 40 years experience and an Examiner for
DNB for Specialist Radiology Exams.
Dr. Navtej Singh DMRD, 5 Years experience nationally and
internationally.
Dr. Neha Gopal Uttam , 4 Years Experience in reputed institutes in
India.
Indus Diagnostic Centre with the team of above doctors and additional
Para-medics and radiographic technologist provide 24-hour diagnosis
and guided intervention facility.
The facilities include:
- Helical CT Scan (GE Hi Speed) with Bone 3D, Virtual Brochoscopy &
Endoscopy, Multi-Planar Imaging.
- Digital Subtraction Angiography & Imaging Suite: Renal and Whole
Body Angiography, Image guided focused Chemotherapy administration ,
tumour vessel embolization. Barium & Gastrografin Investigations for
GIT.
- Ultra-sound Scan: Pediatric, Soft Tissue , Musculo-Skeletal ,
Abdomen, KUB, Obstetric-Level 2 and level 3 USG.
- 3D Whole Body Colour Doppler: Limb Vessel USG, Obstetric Doppler,
Trans Cranial Doppler etc.
- Digital O.P.G & Cephalogram.

Besides, providing services to the two Indus Hospitals in Mohali, the
Diagnostic Centre gets a large number of referrals from other
hospitals.

latest development in technologies and techniques.
Radiation Safety
As per Government of India rules and NABH Accreditation standards it
is Mandatory to register the Radiology & Imaging Center with ‘Atomic
Energy Regulatory Board (AERB)’ as per the following riles.
And should have an approved Radiation Safety officer.
All X-Ray emitting facilities at Indus Super Specialty Hospital,
Mohali are registered and approved by A.E.R.B.
The facilities include Diagnostic X-Rays, Cath Lab and D.S.A, Dental
X-Rays, C-Arm.
R.S.O-Level 3 – Radiation Safety pffocer-level 3: Indus Super
Speciality Hospital employs a Level 3
RSO for continuous monitoring of Radiation safety at the hospital.
T.L.D (Thermo Luminescent Dosimeter) batched are provided free
of cost to all employees working with the radiation emitting machines
for employee welfare by continuous check on radiation exposure.
